HCM City seeks state funding for three hospitals

HCM City is seeking government funding of around VND4.5 trillion (USD193.96 million) for three local hospitals.

HCM City is seeking government funding of around VND4.5 trillion (USD193.96 million) for three local hospitals.

Under the proposal sent to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the funding will be used for the equipment purchase at three general hospitals which are being constructed in Hoc Mon, Cu Chi and Thu Duc districts.
 

The projects with a total investment capital of VND5.6 trillion are scheduled to be completed in 2023.

HCM City has also proposed a list of 184 projects to upgrade and build medical facilities in wards and communes with a total investment capital of VND2 trillion to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Earlier, the government agreed to grant HCM City VND2.5 trillion (USD109 million) to improve traffic infrastructure, its environment and VND283 billion to rebuild HCM City Children's Hospital.
