The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong has seen a sharp rise in new Covid-19 cases, topping the region.

Over the past ten days, Lam Dong has topped the Central Highlands in Covid-19 infection with around 250 new cases on average. The province recorded a surge on December 27-29 with 358, 394 and 483 cases respectively.

Lam Dong has witnessed 11,295 Covid-19 cases with 32 deaths. At present, three districts and 31 communes and wards in Lam Dong have been listed as high-risk areas for Covid-19 infection.

Chairman of Da Lat City People’s Committee has signed a decision to set up 16 mobile medical stations for Covid-19 treatment at local wards and communes. Each station has five staff. Retired medical workers and those working at private medical facilities are encouraged to serve at the mobile medical stations.

The stations will focus on providing treatment for Covid-19 cases who display no or mild symptoms.

All 16 communes and wards in Da Lat City have Covid-19 cases being treated at home. Ward 8 has the highest number of patients with 69.
