Dong Da District in Hanoi has reopened on-site dining at restaurants from today, January 1 amid the locality’s fall in new Covid-19 cases.

On Friday evening, the HCM City People’s Committee announced to downgrade Dong Da District to a medium-risk area for Covid-19 infection. This has come after the district’s decline in new Covid-19 infections.

At present, seven wards in the district belong are high-risk areas, while 14 are medium-risk.

According to Hanoi’s regulations, restaurants in the medium-risk area are allowed to offer on-site dining services until 9 pm every day.

Earlier, Dong Da District’s on-site dining at restaurants, outdoor exercise and in-person study were banned from 12 pm December 13. Restaurants and food and beverage establishments were permitted to open for delivery and must close before 9 pm.

Local authorities also banned gatherings of more than 20 people and more than 10 people in public places.
