My Dinh Station was silent on December 30-31, instead of the bustling atmosphere as usual ahead of the New Year Holiday.
Ticket counters saw almost no passengers. Some passengers have bought tickets online, while many others have decided not to return to their hometown or go on holiday due to fears about Covid-19 infection.
Passengers were requested to scan the QR code at My Dinh Station.
Just a small number of vehicles are being parked at the station. Currently, coaches and buses at My Dinh Station are only allowed to run at half capacity.
Waiting areas are very quiet.
A driver on the My Dinh-Tuyen Quang route said that the number of passengers had sharply dropped over the past three months. In many cases, he served just some passengers.
Nguyen Thanh Tung, a driver on My Dinh-Bac Ninh route, said that his company had faced great losses over the recent time as each coach’s revenues are estimated at just VND500,000 per day.
