The HCM City Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has surveyed over 1,000 local companies to record their Tet bonus policies.

According to the department, the highest bonus of VND1.3 billion belongs to a foreign-invested company. Meanwhile, the highest bonus for the 2021 Tet Holiday among firms in HCM City was around VND1.1 billion.
The department’s survey also revealed that the highest bonus for the New Year would be VND471 million (USD20,478) against VND990 million last year.
The average bonus in HCM City on the New Year 2022 would be VND4 million compared to VND3.4 million last year. The figure for the Lunar New Year was VND4.2 million, down by half on-year.
Electronics, finance and banking and IT sectors have the highest bonuses for Tet.
