Three people in a family have died in a house fire in the central province of Thanh Hoa on December 27.
Speaking to the Dan Viet Newspaper on December 27, chairman of Dien Bien Ward People's Committee, Le Dinh Mao, said that the incident occurred at around 1 am the same day at a three-storey house on Trieu Quoc Dat Street."The house lies in a small alley and had no fire exits," the official said. "Rescue forces attempted to save a 70-year-old woman who was staying on the second floor. Meanwhile, a young couple and their one-year-old daughter were found dead on the third floor."
Initial investigations showed that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit that started on the third floor.
