Cars with nine seats or fewer saw a rise of 48 percent against the same period last year to 101,193 units, trucks up 71.40 percent with 30,996 units.

In November, Vietnam imported 15,356 units with a total value of USD 340 million.


As many as 95 percent of imported cars to Vietnam in November were from three major markets of Thailand, Indonesia, and China with 14,560 units.

Cars with nine seats or fewer accounted for 73 percent of imported vehicles to Vietnam last month with 11,165 units and a total value of VND 196 million.

According to local car import companies, the rise in imports came as customs activities resumed after months of social distancing. They are also preparing for the end-of-year shopping season.
