Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper has received a letter to call for help from Nguyen Thi Hang from Dong Rom Village, Phu Luong District whose 20-month-old daughter is struggling with heart disease.

Hang said that at the age of one, her daughter, Dieu Huong, faced the signs of difficulty breathing, but she did not take her to hospital due to financial difficulties.
Four months ago, Dieu Huong had a high fever and fainted. She was then diagnosed with congenital heart problems, which required surgery. However, the family can’t afford the surgical fees.
Hang previously worked as a cook for a nursery school with a modest salary of VND3,000 (USD130) per month. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, the school closed. She then moved to work for a tea processing facility. She is now staying at home to take care of her ailing child.
Hang needs at least VND30-50 million (USD1,304 - 2,174) for Dieu Huong’s operation. but she has only managed to borrow VND20 million.
Hoan Dinh Vu, deputy head of Dong Rom Village, said that Hang’s family is among the poorest in the locality. He hoped that donors could support them.
