Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa, 40, from Chau Thanh District’s Than Cuu Nghia Commune is now in critical condition due to breast cancer.

After getting married, Khoa and her husband came to Long An Province to work for a garment company with a modest income.
Last year, while working, she suddenly fainted. Being hospitalised, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Every month, she has to come to Cho Ray Hospital for treatment.
In December last year, Thoa took her children to her parents' house to live as her health worsened. Meanwhile, her husband Huynh Van Hung stayed in Long An to work. But in July this year, Hung was infected with Covid-19 and died one month later.
Thoa’s eldest daughter Huynh Thi Cam Van, 15, has to take care of her mother and three-year-old sister.
Thoa's children faces a gloomy future
Nguyen Van Tot, Khoa’s father, said that his daughter is facing more pain. He planned to remove his goat cage to build a temporary room for Thoa and her children as his house is quite small.
Nguyen Huu Thanh, a representative from local authorities of Than Cuu Nghia Commune, the locality is completing procedures to provide assistance for Khoa and her children.
