Tran Thanh Giau,33, from Thoi Lai District’s Thoi Thanh Commune said that his wife died due to Covid-19 after giving birth two the second child two months ago.

Since then, he has been staying at home to take care of his children.
Giau said that two years ago, the couple went to Binh Duong to work after getting married. During their two-year stay there, they had two children.
During the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in Binh Duong between May and September, Giau became unemployed. In September, when being in the 7th month of pregnancy, his wife contracted Covid-19 and her condition quickly worsened and died shortly after giving birth.
His second child had to stay at hospital for 20 days because of being born prematurely.

After social distancing measures in Binh Duong were eased, he took his children to his hometown. However, his mother is facing a brain tumour, so no one could help him.
Huynh Thanh Sang, vice chairman of Thoi Thanh Commune said that Giau’s family is in desperate need of help. He hoped that donors could help them.
