According to the Ministry of Health, Vietnam has so far received 147.5 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to date with 138.1 million doses distributed to localities nationwide. Meanwhile, the remaining 9.4 million doses are under quality checks before being allocated to cities and provinces next week.

As of mid-Thursday, the country had administered 125.2 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine. Around 95.1 percent of people aged from 18 have been provided with a first jab of Covid-19 vaccine, while 70.5% have had a second. The southern region tops innoculations with 99 percent and 81.7 percent respectively, followed by the northern region with 91.7 percent and 60.6 percent, then followed by the central region with 91.7 percent and 60.6 percent and the Central Highlands with 90.7 percent and 49.9 percent respectively.

Thirty-seven localities have conducted their first-shot Covid-19 vaccine for children aged between 12-17. By December 1, 4.068 million doses of Covid 19 vaccine were given to children of this age group with 35.6 percent of them having the first shot and 9 percent having the second shot.
