The provincial people’s committee has approved a two-phase plan to serve international visitors.
In the first phase from November to December, the city will welcome foreign travellers who book package tours. In the second phase starting from January next year, visitors can join tours to only Phu Quoc in Kien Giang, Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Danang and Quang Ninh.

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines operates its first pilot fight carrying international tourists from Seoul (the Republic of Korea) to Danang on November 17.
The Danang tourism sector will be fully reopened in the third phase. However, the starting time of this phase will depend on the pandemic situation and the results so far.
A representative from the Danang Department of Tourism said that the selection of firms that would serve international visitors in the first phase would be finished before November 30. Staff of these firms are requested to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and trained with Covid-19 prevention regulations.
The city would receive around 10,000 foreign visitors between November and February next year, with the majority being overseas Vietnamese who both visit their relatives and go on holiday, including those from South Korea and Japan.
Some travel companies have worked with the department for their plan to serve foreign visitors. Among those, Hanatour Company plans to welcome 1,500 travellers per month.

After the pilot flight, the airline will continue to operate to Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam and Quang Ninh that have been allowed to welcome international tourists on a pilot basis.
