The work has been carried out since Tuesday in the Dam Bay area in Nhat Tan Ward.
Over the past five years, the floating restaurants, which are located near Nhat Chieu Street have steadily deteriorated, and begun to sink. They have even become the shelter for criminals.
According to a worker, the work would be finished in around one week.
The floating restaurants were previously relocated to Dam Bay from the area of Nguyen Dinh Thi Street in 2017 following a massive amount of fish deaths blamed on the abandoned vessels.
