Dantri/Dtinews transfers over VND100 million in donations from readers for a poor couple in Quang Binh to treat their two sons who are both suffering from haemophilia.
The couple Nguyen Anh, 51, and Nguyen Thi Luyen, 49, in Quang Loc Commune in Ba Don Town have three sons and three daughters. Unfortunately, all three sons were born with haemophilia. Their youngest son Nguyen Hai Dong died of the disease six years ago at the age of five. And the two others Nguyen Xuan Hai, 14, and Nguyen Minh Ha, 13, are both struggling with the disease. Previously, Hai and Ha had to go to hospital for dialysis once every month, but the current frequency is every 15 days. The teenagers are very weak, weighing only around 20 kilogrammes each.
"We like to play football very much but we’re not strong enough to do this. We hope that we can fully recover so that we can play with our friends,” Hai said.

Luyen and her two sons
After the story of Luyen's family was shared on Dantri/Dtinews, many readers in and outside the country have sent money to the newspaper's Charity Fund to help them. Dantri/Dtinews brought the donations of VND103,063,500 (USD4,348) to the family on November 15.
Receiving the donations from Dantri/Dtinews, the mother was moved to tears. She said that Hai's condition was worsening and she was thinking about how to borrow some more money to take him to hospital.
"I want to send my sincere thanks to all the kind donors for your valuable support to our family," she said. "This was a huge amount of money which is very valuable to our family now and we will use it to pay for our sons' treatment."
