Speaking at a hand-over ceremony in Hanoi on November 16, Vietnamese deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen expressed his sincere thanks for the valuable support from the Austrian government and organisations to help Vietnam fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Earlier during a phone talk with Vietnamese PM Pham Minh Chinh on May 26, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison pledged to aid Vietnam’s Covid-19 inoculation through a grant of AUD40 million (USD31.1 million).
Vietnam has so far received over 135 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine and have administered over 100 million doses to people aged from 18 and over. The country has also started giving the vaccine to children aged between 12-17.
