According to the ministry's report, 8,976 of the new patients are locally-transmitted cases confirmed in 56 out of 63 localities in the country including HCM City(1,388), Dong Nai (813), An Giang (661), Binh Duong (654), Tien Giang (634), Tay Ninh (517), Kien Giang (403), Dong Thap (383), Soc Trang (298), Binh Thuan (287), Vinh Long (284), Ca Mau (258), Bac Lieu (252), Can Tho (178), Ba Ria - Vung Tau (177), Hanoi (176), Khanh Hoa (170), Long An (110), and Hau Giang (101). There were six imported patients confirmed today.

The new infections showed an increase of 831 cases compared to yesterday's figure. There were 4,180 infections found in the community.

As of Friday evening, 1,004,879 infections had been reported since the new outbreak occurred in the country in late April. Some localities that have recorded the highest number of patients include HCM City (445,203), Binh Duong (242,243), Dong Nai (76,656), Long An (36,362), and Tien Giang (20,150).

With these new infection cases, the number of Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to 1,009,879 . The country now stands 37th among 223 countries and territories worldwide in the number of infections.

On November 12, an additional 10,263 more patients recovered from the disease, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 856,211.

On Friday evening, a further 81 deaths related to Covid-19 were announced, bringing the total number of fatalities in Vietnam to 22,930. The deaths were reported in some localities including HCM City (42), Binh Duong (5), Tien Giang (5), Long An (4), Kien Giang (4), Bac Lieu(4), Dak Lak (3), Tay Ninh (3), An Giang (2), Ha Giang (1), Tra Vinh (1), Thanh Hoa (1), Nghe An (1), Dong Nai (1), Ba Ria - Vung Tau (1), Dong Thap (1), Can Tho (1), and Ca Mau (1).

Vietnam on November 11 administered more than 1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines. The country has so far conducted over 96.55 million Covid-19 vaccine shots, with over 32.87 million people having received two doses.
