The trains for Tet are slated to run from January 20 to February 13, 2022.
Train tickets for the Tet Lunar New Year holiday period will be sold from 8 am on November 15
The tickets will include trains SE1/2, SE3/4, SE5/6 and SE7/8 on the North-South route linking Hanoi and HCM City.
Passengers will enjoy a discount of 10% on the first ten days of ticket sales. Those buying train tickets before January 1, 2022 will be offered a 30 percent reduction on Value-Added Tax.
People can buy tickets directly at train stations or agencies of Vietnam Railway, hotlines 19000109, 19001520 or online at dsvn.vn, vetauonline.vn, vetau.com.vn as well as mobile apps.
Trains will strictly follow Covid-19 protocols. Based on the pandemic situation, the firm would arrange more trains to serve travel demand for the Tet holiday period.
Priority will be given to passengers who are in the armed forces or those who work at industrial and export processing zones as well as those who reserved their tickets in 2021.
