On Wednesday, Dantri/DTiNews granted the donation to Bui Thi Thuy in Dien Van Commune in Dien Chau District. The money was donated through the newspapers’ Hearts Charity Programme.

The assistance came after an article about Thuy’s condition was published in the newspaper.
Her husband drowned earlier this year. Since then, the 27-year-old woman has become the family breadwinner.
She has two children. Her daughter Kim Ngan has been living with heart disease since she was four years old. Ngan is now eight but she is much smaller than her friends of the same age.
The girl’s condition has worsened but the family is too poor to cover the treatment fees.
Many readers have phoned Thuy to show their sympathy to her family.
The woman expressed her great thanks for the support she has received.
