The Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control reported that up to 5,373 houses were submerged in the districts of Nui Thanh, Thang Binh and Phu Ninh, Tam Ky City and Hoi An City in Quang Nam Province. In Quang Ngai’s Binh Son District, 11,038 houses have also been flooded.
In Quang Ngai, around 150 hectares of seafood farms, roads and water supply facilities have been seriously damaged.

In addition, 77 hydropower reservoirs in the northern, central and Central Highlands regions are discharging water.
In the southern central region, 159 out of 476 reservoirs are full of water.
The flooding has left one dead and three others missing in Quang Nam. Hundreds of hectares of crops in the locality have been ruined.
A section of the North-South railway running from Quang Nam to Quang Ngai has been damaged. Landslides have also been reported on lots of roads in Quang Ngai.
It was announced that 2,149 households in the flooded areas in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai have been evacuated.
According to the National Centre for Hydrometeorology Forecasting’s Weather Forecast Department, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai have been forecasted to continue having rains tonight, October 25. The rains would also affect localities from Binh Dinh to Khanh Hoa.
