The couple Nguyen Anh, 51, and Nguyen Thi Luyen, 49, in Quang Loc Commune in Ba Don Town have three sons and three daughters. Their youngest son Nguyen Hai Dong died of haemophilia six years ago at the age of five, meanwhile, the two other Nguyen Xuan Hai, 14, and Nguyen Minh Ha, 13, are both struggling with the disease.

Previously, their sons had to go to hospital for dialysis once every month, but the current frequency is every 15 days.
Hai and Ha weigh only around 20 kilogrammes each.
"We like to play football very much but we are not strong enough to do this. We hope that we can fully recover so that we can play with our friends,” Hai said.
Since Dong’s death, Luyen has been always worried about her two remaining sons’ condition. Their disease needs long treatment, but the family faces financial difficulties. Meanwhile, the family’s income mainly depends on the net weaving for local fishermen.
Each time of treatment costs the family millions of VND.
