Vietnam receives 2.6 million more Covid-19 vaccine doses from US

The US Embassy in Vietnam on Sunday announced that COVAX has just sent additional 2,633,670 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine donated by the US to support Vietnam's Covid-19 vaccine fight.

On the evening of October 24, 1,316,250 doses arrived at Noi Bai International Airport.

Earlier the US had sent 9.5 million doses through COVAX Facility.


These doses were shipped from Belgium to Vietnam, while the shipment earlier this month came directly from the Pfizer manufacturing plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Most recently, the US delivered nearly 400,000 doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to Vietnam on October 13.
