The central city of Danang will allow the resumption of more services from October 16 after the Covid-19 pandemic has been brought under control in the locality.

According to Ngo Thi Kim Yen, vice chairwoman of the municipal people’s committee, the city will reopen most of its services, except for bars, karaoke parlours and massage from Saturday.

Local restaurants and other food and beverage establishments are permitted to offer on-site dining at half their maximum capacity. Gyms, yoga classes and billiards clubs are also allowed to be reopened. However, the facilities are required to conform to Covid-19 prevention regulations, including equipment for QR scan.

Some schools in Hoa Bac Commune, Hoa Vang District will be reopened from October 18; meanwhile, other local schools will resume their operations from November 1.

Danang has experienced 14 days without local Covid-19 cases. Up to 95 percent of local residents aged between 18 and 65 have been given at least one shot of Covid-19 vaccine.

Some schools in Hoa Bac Commune, Hoa Vang District will reopen from October 18; while other local schools will reopen from November 1.
