A teenager has died and three others remain missing after their boat capsized in a river in the northern province of Ha Giang.
Three teenagers have gone missing on the Gam River in ha Giang Province
According to reports from local authorities, eight high school students were going on a boat on the Gam River at about 10.30pm on October 5 when the boat suddenly capsized.
The students were returning home after going to help a friend's family harvest rice at their farm.
Four managed to swim ashore while four others went missing. Rescue forces found the body of a student the next morning.
Chairman of Yen Phu Town People's Committee, Le Thanh Nam told the media on October 7 that rescue forces were still searching for the three missing students.
The students aged between 16-17 were all students of Bac Me High School.
