According to the Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB), at present, 74% of the Nhon-Hanoi Station metro project has been finished.

Nhon-Hanoi Station metro project
The MRB, the project investor, has strictly conformed to Covid-19 prevention and control regulations of Hanoi authorities. The agency tried to seek Covid-19 vaccine sources for the project’s workers and have sterilised the construction site. The workers also would be provided with Covid-19 tests.
The ongoing pandemic has seriously affected the pace of the project, particularly as the city is implementing tight social distancing measures. The transportation of imported equipment to the project’s construction site has been slower than usual.
In addition, the implementation of social distancing measures in Hanoi and many other localities in Vietnam has resulted in difficulties in mobilising labourers for the project.
To ensure the project’s pace, the MRB has proposed more flexible conditions for the travel of foreign experts as well as the project’s equipment transportation.
The project was scheduled to begin service by the end of this year.
