This morning, September 14, the section of National Highway 1A through Ky Anh Town in the central province of Ha Tinh was submerged. Some spots were put one metre under water.
The water even flowed into houses by the road.
The torrential rain also flooded many roads in Ha Long City in the northern province of Quang Ninh. Some cars which faced stalled engines had to call for support from traffic rescue forces.
Some local houses were also inundated.
People in Ha Long City used bricks to prevent being flooded by rainwater.
The rain brought mud which swept into local houses.
