The police in District 2 detained and prosecuted Truong Manh Thao, 37, on September 7 for abusing position.

According to Thao, he had received over VND10m (USD437) and arranged vaccination shots to nearly 20 cases from other wards and districts in the past four months. He received VND1m to VND3m on each case.

On August 21, the police in HCM City also prosecuted Le Thi Kim Dung for the same accusation.

Dung admitted to selling each vaccination shot for VND2m (USD87) to VND4m. She even advertised on Facebook to find customers.

The police said Dung had successfully arranged 21 cases and earned over VND60m (USD2,600).
