Three workers have died from CO2 suffocation while working at a pipe construction project in Vung Ang Economic Zone in the central province of Ha Tinh.

Authorities in Ky Anh Town announced on August 27 that the tragic accident occurred at 4pm on Thursday while the workers were working at a pipe construction project in the Vung Ang Economic Zone.
Director of Ky Anh Town General Hospital, Phan Thi Xuan Lieu, said that they received the three male workers from Bum Han Industrial Company who had CO2 poisoning on the late afternoon of August 27.
"Two of them had died before arriving at the hospital and the other was in critical health condition," the doctor said. "We carried out emergency first aid but were not able to save him."
Local authorities are conducting further investigations on the cause of the accident.
