Widespread rains forecasted for next week

The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said from now to August 24, the temperatures in the northern delta would be around 35-36 degrees. In the northern mountainous area, the temperatures would stay around 32-35 degrees. From August 24 to 27, there will be widespread rains at night. People living in mountainous areas are warned about flashflood and landslides.

The temperatures in Hanoi is forecasted to be around 35-37 degrees from now until August 24 with localised rains in the afternoon.

In the central region, the ongoing heatwave will continue until August 25. Provinces from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will see temperatures from 35 to over 37 degrees. Provinces from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan will have lower temperatures of 32-35 degrees. Rains and rainstorms are also forecasted for the central region.

The Central Highlands and the southern region will have mild weather from now to August 24 with rains in the afternoon. From August 25 to 27, there will be more rains and rainstorms.
