Four people from one family were killed and another injured after a gas cylinder exploded at their home in Hai Phong City on Sunday evening.

According to reports from local authorities, the tragic accident occurred at around 8 am at the house of Nguyen Van Hai in Thuy Nguyen District.
Rescue teams arrived and found three bodies of Hai's wife, who is 50, their 31-year-old daughter and four-year-old granddaughter. Hai and his 31-year-old son-in-law were seriously injured and were rushed to hospital but the son died at hospital.
Thuy Nguyen District Police are further investigating the cause of the explosion.
On August 12, a fire at a gas cylinder store in Lao Cai Province's Sapa Town completely destroyed three houses. Luckily no casualties were reported.
