Buon Ma Thuot - HCM City flight route suspended

Flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Buon Ma Thuot City has been suspended from August 5 for virus prevention.

Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan has approved the proposal by Dak Lak People's Committee to suspend the flight route.

According to Vo Van Canh, vice chairman of Dak Lak People's Committee, since the outbreak in Vietnam is still complicated and various provinces are still reporting new cases, the risk of infection is very high. As of now, Dak Lak has had 225 positive cases, most of the patients were from HCM City and southeastern provinces.

Dak Lak already stopped road transportation connected to HCM City and wanted to also suspend commercial flight to HCM City for tighter control. The provincial committee then proposed to the Ministry of Transport to halt the only active return flight on Buon Ma Thuat-HCM City which is allowed to operate once a day.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will announce the news to related agencies.
