17 tigers found in Nghe An

The police in Nghe An discovered the tigers on August 4 and have taken the tigers out of the house. The Environmental Police Department said the case was still under investigation. They will provide more information about the owner of the tigers after the investigation.

All 17 tigers are adults, some weigh about 200kg.

On August 1, Nghe An police also detained two men, 37-year-old Tran Trung Hieu and 54-year-old Nguyen Van Lai when they were selling seven tiger cubs. The men tried to run away but failed.

The cubs were later transferred to Pu Mat National Park in Con Cuong District. It is thought that the tigers may be raised to make tiger bone glue.
