While working on a hill on Monday, some people in Village 6 in Ly Trach Commune found the 1.5-metre bomb at the depth of 1.2 metres. It has been defined as MK82, dating back to the American War.

The bomb weighs around 230 kilos
On Tuesday, a team from the Mines Advisory Group relocated the bomb to a safe place to wait for it to be defused.
According to the Ministry of Defence, nearly 225,000 hectares of land across Quang Binh was contaminated by unexploded ordnance (UXO). Landmine or UXO accidents have claimed more than 2,930 lives in the province.
