
Under the Ministry of Defence's instructions, the Military Zone 7 established the hospital at the provincial Defence and Security Education Centre in Thu Dau Mot City.

On Tuesday, the hospital was officially put into operation. It has 500 sick beds and 150 doctors and medical workers.

There are 11 wards in the hospitals to provide treatment for patients ranging from light to severe conditions.

The hospital is aimed to ease the pressure for local hospitals at present amid the ongoing Covid-19 spread.

Sterilisation was conducted at the newly set-up field hospital.
Since April 27 when the fourth Covid-19 wave started hitting Vietnam, Binh Duong has recorded 4,382 Covid-19 cases, including 12 deaths. The province now has 14 Covid-19 treatment facilities which are serving 3,033 patients. Among those, 85 patients have been in worse conditions.
