The construction of Le Van Luong Underpass

Besides working at night, equipment and workers can be seen at Linh Dam Overpass project during the day. Construction manager Hoang Dinh Hieu said he was glad that the authorities had allowed the construction to be carried out during the daytime when the traffic is quieter than normal because of Covid-19 pandemic. As the work is being sped up, they may be able to complete the construction by the end of the year.

After the second phase of Vinh Tuy Bridge was started in January, everyone is in a hurry to keep to the schedule. Nguyen Duc Loi from the Management Board of Traffic Construction in Hanoi said the construction site did not affect the traffic but since they are using heavy machinery and huge trucks, it's easier to work in the daytime.

The workers are working all day long to complete the Le Van Luong Underpass also said being able to work with heavy trucks and machinery in the daytime would greatly speed up the work.

According to the Department of Transport, projects like Le Van Luong Underpass or Ring Road 2 are located within the inner city and would cause pollution and hinder the traffic if the trucks and heavy machinery operates during the day. In order to speed up the work, they have adjusted the working hours of those trucks to 7 pm to 6 am instead of 9 pm to 6 am.

The department also hoped to speed up the disbursement process and support the transportation firms.
