At least eight million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to be brought to Vietnam in July

The vaccines consist of 30 million doses of AstraZeneca and 31 million doses of Pfizer.

Among the total funds for the vaccines, VND5.1 trillion would be sourced from the state budget, with the remainder from the National Covid-19 Vaccine Fund which was set up on May 26.

The Ministry of Health has been assigned to buy and use the vaccines. The ministry also needs to co-operate with the Ministry of Finance to report to the prime minister on the use of VND7.6 trillion for vaccine purchases.
