The donation was made to Binh An and Thu Trang who are half-sisters. Thu Trang is 10 years old and Binh Giang is just seven months old.
The donation granted to the family
Nguyen Thi Hong, the children’s maternal grandmother said that her daughter Nguyen Thi Hai died at the age of 37 when Binh An was just four months old.
After the divorce in 2012, Hai who used to face epilepsy took her nine-month-old daughter Thu Trang to live with Hong.
Hai previously fainted and was saved by Binh An’s father. However, except Hai, no one knows the relationship of the couple because she kept this as a secret.
Three months ago, Hai was suddenly found dead at a local field some two kilometres from her house when returning from a nearby market.

On Monday, Journalist Pham Tuan Hop from Dantri/DTiNews and Tran Xuan Truong, vice chairman of Pho Yen Town People’s Committee presented the donation to the family. Truong highly appreciated the newspaper’s support to the family and many others nationwide.
Hong expressed her great thanks to the newspaper for the help. Besides the money, Hong has also received clothes, milk, and other support from donors.
