The projects are A Vuong 4, Song Bung 3, Dak Di 4, A Banh, Cha Val and Dak Pring 2 which are all located in mountainous areas.
The hydropower plants all suffer from legal issues and sluggish construction.

The provincial Department of Industry and Trade and Department of Planning and Investment have also been asked to work with the investor of A Vuong 5 and Song Bung 3A hydropower projects to resolve the slow pace of construction. If the situation does not improve, local authorities will consider cancelling the projects.
By the end of last year, Quang Nam approved 46 hydropower plants, including 22 already put into operation, eight still under construction while another 16 are completing investment procedures.
The province wants hydropower plants to meet environmental protection and natural disaster prevention and control standards.
