Hanoi gives Covid-19 vaccination priority to four groups

Hanoi will prioritise Covid-19 vaccination for four groups of people in the coming time, including workers at industrial parks.

The information was given by deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Health Hoang Duc Hanh at the city’s Covid-19 prevention and control meeting on Thursday.

According to Hanh, Hanoi has issued a plan on Covid-19 vaccination in the third and fourth quarters of this year. Under the plan, the Ministry of Health will provide Hanoi with around 91,000 doses of vaccine which will be prioritised for four groups of people.

The first group is around 54,193 people who have been given the first shot of Covid-19 vaccination. The second group is 11,266 people who work at local medical facilities. The third group is people who work at quarantine sites and Covid-19 community task forces and reporters who directly work at vulnerable areas.

Meanwhile, the fourth group are around 7,000 workers at industrial parks in Me Linh, Dong Anh and Soc Son districts.

The vaccination which started from June 8 is scheduled to be finished next month.

Earlier, the Hanoi Department of Health declared an estimated volume of 350,000 vaccine doses to be rolled out in 2021. The city will give free Covid-19 vaccinations to local people aged between 18 and 65 and not included in prioritised groups during the 2021-2022 period.
