The northern region of Vietnam would see rain and strong wind from Thursday afternoon after a series of hot days.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the rainfall would happen in many northern localities, including mountainous areas.
Warnings about thunder, lightning and hail have been issued. Flash floods and hail would happen in mountainous areas.
Hanoi will witness rain and strong wind from tomorrow evening.
Meanwhile, the northern region and Thanh Hoa Province would face rain at night on June 6-9.
From June 4 to June 10, the weather in the northern and central regions would be quite cool. However, after that, the regions would continue facing hot weather.
Many localities in the northern and central regions have experienced temperatures of around 40 degrees centigrade.
Experts said that the hot weather would pose high risks for forest fires in the central region.
