In May alone, the hospital branch in Dong Anh District, Hanoi, received nearly 500 Covid-19 patients. Around 90 face severe underlying diseases, including many with cancer.

Two young patients 3262 and 3207 who faced death have been saved.
Patient 3263, a 35-year-old woman in Hanoi, was moved from K Hospital to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases on May 9 with respiratory failure. She was in the 22nd week of pregnancy. Two consultations were held on her state. Following the 10-day active treatment, she has been freed from intubation and seen great improvement. She tested negative for Covid-19 for a third time on May 31.
Patient BN3207, a 37-year-old man from Bac Ninh Province, was taken to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases on May 18 with severe respiratory failure. He had to use an intubation tube, ventilator and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO).
He has stopped using the ECMO since May 30.
Meanwhile, eight others whose condition were also critical have also gradually recovered.
By midday of Tuesday, Vietnam had recorded a total 7,482 Covid-19 cases, including 3,043 discharged from hospital. Meanwhile, the remainder are being treated at 91 medical facilities nationwide with the majority at those in the northern province of Bac Giang and the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
