Noi Bai Airport stops receiving arrivals from June 1

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Noi Bai Airport will stop receiving overseas arrivals from June 1 to 7. Flights for international departures still operate as usual.

On May 27, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam sent an urgent document to local airlines, Southern Airport Authority, HCM City People's Committee, Vietnam Immigration Department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about halting arrivals at Tan Son Nhat Airport from May 27 to June 4.

The date has been extended to June 14 under the ongoing outbreak.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health show that as of noon May 31, Vietnam has reported 68 more positive cases. 48 cases are in Bac Giang, 12 in Hanoi and four in Bac Ninh.

From April 27 until now, Vietnam has had a total of 4,164 Covid-19 cases in 34 cities and provinces.
