Dozens of Covid-19 patients in worsened condition

Seventy-seven Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have experienced worsened health conditions, accounting for 3.1% of the country’s total Covid-19 cases.

Seventy-seven Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have experienced worsened health conditions, accounting for 3.1% of the country’s total Covid-19 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health, among those, 23 are in critical condition, including four using Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) treatment.

Another 92 other patients are using the high Flow Nasal Oxygen therapy.

The ministry reported that up to 55.1% of Covid-19 patients did not display any symptoms, while 36.1% had light symptoms.

To date, 2,814 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have fully recovered, while 44 others have died with the majority of them with underlying medical conditions.

The two variants of Covid-19 namely B.1.1.7 (firstly found in the UK) and B.1.617.2 (first detected in India) are still common in Vietnam.
