Streets in Thu Duc City were hardest hit, affecting traffic. To Ngoc Van street was seriously submerged. People were warned not to go through the street to ensure safety.
The inundation happened around 20 minutes after the rain. In some areas, the flooding was up to around half a metre.
The same situation was also reported at some streets such as Nguyen Van Qua and Pham Van Chieu.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, HCM City and its neighbouring localities would continue witnessing rain until May 31.
