Two field hospitals prepared for Bac Ninh and Bac Giang

Two field hospitals for Covid-19 patients are being prepared in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces amid the ongoing outbreak.

According to the General Logistics Department of the People's Army of Vietnam, the hospitals will be opened and start receiving patients from 5 pm on May 19.

Field Hospital 1 in Bac Ninh Province is run by Military Hospital 354 with equipment and staff from Military Hospital 354, Hospital 105, Hospital 103 and Political Officers College and Military Medical University. Field Hospital 2 in Bac Giang Province is run by Military Hospital 103 with equipment and staff from the Military Hospital 103, Air Force Medical Hospital, and Military Institute of Traditional Medicine.

Each hospital has about 100 staff and 300 beds. It can be expanded to accommodate 500 beds if necessary.

The Army Military Medical Department was assigned to oversee the hospitals and provide consultancy to Bac Ninh and Bac Giang. The hospitals must review and report the situation to the department every day.

Two to three mobile teams must be set up for vulnerable locations. The hospitals must also work with local authorities during the burial process if there are fatalities.
