As of May 13 morning, 62 cities and provinces in Vietnam have given a total of 942,030 Covid-19 vaccine shots

Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said on May 13 that the United Nations Children's Fund had confirmed that 1.68 million doses of Astra Zeneca vaccine would be sent to Vietnam on May 16. The ministry will distribute the vaccine as quickly as possible.

According to Long, they have sped up the processes to search and negotiate for new vaccine sources. They also launched necessary measures to ensure an effective and safe immunisation programme across the country.

As of May 13 morning, 62 cities and provinces in Vietnam have given a total of 942,030 Covid-19 vaccine shots to the health workers who are directly treating Covid-19 patients and the members of the steering committees for Covid-19 prevention and the military and police.
