Hanoi Old Quarter hit by Covid-19 precautions

Many shops, services and offices located in prime locations in Hanoi’s Old Quarter area have closed because of the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.

Ma May Street has become deserted following the closure of various services and retail outlets.

 

Many shops, which used to have exorbitant rental prices, are being offered for lease. 

A house on Ma May Street has been closed for months

A fashion shop on Dinh Tien Hoang Street is offering discounts

A big hotel on Bat Dan Street which used to lure foreigners previously is now struggling

The same situation is seen on Cha Ca Street

Services such as massage and spas have been hard hit by Covid-19

Most of the tourism services on Ma May Street have been shut

Lots of shops on Hang Dao-Dong Xuan streets are offered for lease
