Authorities in the southern coastal province of Khanh Hoa have agreed to receive nine repatriation flights which will bring overseas Vietnamese people home at Cam Ranh Airport this month.

One of the nine flights transporting 250 Vietnamese citizens from South Korea landed at Cam Ranh Airport on April 2. The remaining flights will be conducted by the end of this month bringing more people home from South Korea, Taiwan and Russia. There will be two such flights a week.
Passengers are mostly workers whose visas expire, students or tourists, and other people who are in difficult circumstances.
Passengers must test negative for coronavirus between 3-7 days before departure. They will be given health check-ups and sent to quarantine facilities for Covid-19 prevention after landing at Cam Ranh Airport. They will have to pay for flight tickets, quarantine fees, food, and healthcare services following local regulations.
At present, over 900 Vietnamese people who returned from abroad are being quarantined in Khanh Hoa Province. Four people are being treated for Covid-19 at local hospitals, all of them are patients from abroad.
