Four people were killed in a house fire in Hanoi's Ton Duc Thang Street early Sunday morning.

Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia from Hanoi Police Department told Dantri/DTiNews at 8am on April 4 that four people had been found dead in the fire including a 81-year-old man, his 40-year-old daughter who was pregnant, 38-year-old son-in-law, and 10-year-old granddaughter.

"The fire occurred at around 1am at the three-storey house which was used as a baby shop at 311 Ton Duc Thang Street in Dong Da District," he said. "We are investigating the cause of the fire."

A witness said that he saw the fire breaking out at around 1am and called the police who sent 10 fire trucks to the site. The first body was taken out at around 6.40am.
