According to Thuan An City People’s Committee, residential area 4 in An Phu Ward has been temporarily closed. A Covid-19 checkpoint has also been set up on Road D35 nearby.

The residential area is being locked down


The 44-year-old Chinese man has been living in Binh Duong since before the Lunar New Year 2021. Earlier, he had come to Moc Bai Border Gate in Tay Ninh Province and had close contact with some Cambodian people there.

Binh Duong authorities have identified eight people who had come into close contact with the man.

This is the first Covid-19 case in Binh Duong reported over the past 50 days.
