Three people who were prosecuted on March 22 are Tran Anh Tai, born in 1974, Dong Duy Tri, born in 1981, and Trinh Minh Hoang, born in 1987 and the owner of Symphony Hotel. The prosecution has been approved by the HCM City People's Procuracy.

The police were tipped off that Tai, Tri and Hoang had received money to illegally bring Chinese people into Vietnam and let them stay at Symphony Hotel before bringing them to An Giang Province and then Cambodia.

On March 6, the police in HCM City, and District 1 found and detained 35 Chinese people at Symphony Hotel. They were all transferred to quarantine centres.

Tai, Tri and Hoang also admitted to their violations. The investigation of case is being expanded.
